Veda Vyasa or Vyasa is a legendary sage in Hindu mythology. The literal meaning of Vyasa is “arranger” or “split” or “division”. Vyasa is believed to have arranged or divided the single eternal Veda into 4 parts – Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda. Hence, he is also called Veda Vyasa.
