Purusha Suktam is a hymn from the Rigveda, dedicated to the Purusha or the “Cosmic Being”. It presents the nature of Purusha as both immanent in the manifested world and yet transcendent to it. It describes the spiritual unity of the universe. The seventh verse of the Purusha Suktam hints at the organic connectedness of the various classes of society.
