Nagula Chavithi (also called Naga Chaturthi) is a traditional Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Nagas (serpent deities). It is mainly observed in the southern states of India – particularly Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and parts of Maharashtra and Orissa.
Nagula Chavithi
When It Is Celebrated?
Nagula Chavithi is usually observed on the fourth day after Deepavali Amavasya – that is, during the Shukla Paksha Chaturthi of the Karthika month (generally falls in October–November).
In some regions, a similar festival called Naga Panchami is observed during the month of Shravana (July–August).
